About the Role
We are seeking a senior leader to own and evolve Elile’s external intelligence and data acquisition capabilities, spanning open-source intelligence (OSINT), social platforms, dark web sources, Ad-ID, cookies and other publicly or commercially available data environments.
This role sits at the intersection of intelligence collection, data structuring, investigative workflows, and platform execution. It is intentionally designed for candidates with either a strong engineering background, a product leadership background, or a hybrid intelligence profile who have built such platforms for digital intelligence in their career.
The scope includes intelligence sourced from open-source, social, dark web, and externally observable platforms including advertising servers, cookies, and dark web breaches, for investigative and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Intelligence Data Strategy & Direction
- Define and lead the strategy for sourcing, structuring, and operationalizing external intelligence data across OSINT, social platforms, dark web, and advertising domains for strategic, tactical and operational profiling and tracking of identities.
- Identify high-value data sources and collection approaches aligned with investigative, intelligence, and analytical use cases.
- Ensure alignment between intelligence data capabilities and broader investigative or analytical platforms.
Data Acquisition, Structuring & Enablement
- Lead the design of workflows for data gathering, enrichment, correlation, and contextualization of external intelligence.
- Work closely with engineering teams to guide scalable ingestion pipelines, entity resolution, and data linkage mechanisms.
- Ensure collected data is usable, explainable, and fit for analyst-driven investigations rather than raw accumulation.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and intelligence stakeholders to translate operational needs into platform capabilities.
- Provide direction on prioritization, sequencing, and trade-offs between cost, coverage, depth, accuracy, and reliability.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and intelligence users, ensuring intent is preserved through execution.
Intelligence Trust, Governance & Risk Control
- Define standards for source attribution, confidence scoring, provenance, and traceability of external intelligence data.
- Establish guardrails to reduce false positives, misattribution, and investigative noise.
- Partner with legal, compliance, and security teams to ensure responsible, ethical, and defensible data usage.
Stakeholder & Domain Engagement
- Engage directly with analysts, investigators, and intelligence users to understand real-world workflows and constraints.
- Support customer engagements, solution design discussions, and technical or domain-level demonstrations as needed.
- Serve as a subject-matter leader on external intelligence sourcing within the organization.
Who This Role Is For
This role is suitable for senior candidates with either:
- A product leadership background in intelligence, investigations, advertising, data platforms, or complex analytical systems
- A technical / engineering background with deep exposure to intelligence data, OSINT workflows, or large-scale data systems
- A hybrid profile spanning intelligence operations, engineering, and platform development
Required Experience & Capabilities
- 6+ years of experience in product leadership, engineering leadership, intelligence systems, or equivalent senior roles.
- Hands-on exposure to one or more of the following domains:
- Open-source intelligence (OSINT)
- Social media intelligence
- Dark web or underground ecosystem research
- Ad-IDs, cookies or other means of realtime tracking
- Investigative analysis or threat intelligence
- Strong communication skills and the ability to operate across technical, analytical, and operational teams.
Technical & Domain Familiarity
- Understanding of intelligence data collection sources and techniques
- Familiarity with data enrichment, correlation, entity resolution, and investigative data models.
- Ability to engage meaningfully with engineers on system design without needing to be hands-on day-to-day.
Preferred
- Experience with dark web monitoring, social intelligence platforms, realtime tracking, cookies, Ad-IDs or investigative tooling.
- Background in law enforcement, national security, financial crime, or intelligence analysis.
- Experience working with government or regulated enterprise customers.
Success Measures
- Adoption and sustained usage of external intelligence capabilities by analysts and investigators.
- Improved speed and quality of identity resolution, discovery and contextualization.
- Analyst confidence in externally sourced intelligence inputs.
- Measurable impact on investigative outcomes and customer trust.
